smallmouth bass

Blurs like this are generally created by dragging the shutter and tracking a moving subject. But down here its tough – subject is at arms length, and if moving is often out of range before my eye reaches the viewfinder. On my way to the lake last week, I realized I could work it backwards… Set the strobe to front curtain, rather than rear curtain sync, and pan the camera across a fairly static subject. Effect is similar and for this situation, much easier.
