The John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon spans 373 miles from Duluth to the Canadian border, and back.  10 marathon teams started today, with another 30 competing in the mid distance race.  Lack of snow which cancelled last years race, and delayed this years, wasn’t a problem today, but temps in the 30’s isn’t ideal for running dogs.

Either way, fun to watch the athletes (2 and 4 legged) tackle old man winter.
